Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering materials safely and efficiently across diverse routes. This role is perfect for motivated drivers eager to navigate routes, handle logistics cargo with precision, and ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. You will operate a Dump truck, contributing directly to our company's reputation for reliability and excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods
- Transport earth work materials such as stone, sand, topsoil, ect
- Manage the documentation process for delivery logs
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks to verify mechanical safety and ensure proper functioning of refrigeration units when applicable
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or route adjustments
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for manual shift transmission
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual loading/unloading tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments
- Experience with freight handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and adherence to all federal and state transportation laws
