What we are looking for:
Grammer is looking for a Production Scheduler to join our location in Shannon, MS. Production Scheduler’s primary responsibility is to plan and schedule production based on customer requirements, which are provided to us by way of customer releases or shipment, to act as liaison between the customer and the plant, to relay requirements, and ship finished product in an efficient and timely manner.
What you will be doing:
- Provides production scheduling plan
- Scheduling – production output
- Manpower – schedules each job with standard manpower by way of press/assembly
- Die Changes – schedules mold changes as required
- Maintain inventory levels in order to meet production schedule
- Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to prioritize and fulfill customer needs
- Guides material planning for on hand component inventory to build production to customer needs
- Monitor inventory adjustments and cycle counts
- Coordinate forecasts with Production Manager
- Track schedule performance vs. production actuals
- Monitor customer computer systems for daily changes
- Prepares and distributes customer releases
- Participates and guides year-end inventory planning and counts
Deliverables:
- Customer requirement reports with weekly and monthly information
- Production Performance
- Promotes IATF 16949 compliance
What you will bring along:
- Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Minimum 2 years production scheduling experience in a similar environment
- Automotive and/or Tier1/Tier 2 manufacturing experience
- Significant experience with MRP and scheduling systems (specifically SAP)
- Ability to identify urgent or emerging problems, develop alternative corrective actions and engage appropriate colleagues in the timely implementation of corrective actions
