What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialty Packaging position at Grain Place Foods?
We are looking for full time permanent, or if desired, temporary employees to join our team as Specialty Packaging.
This role entails working in an assembly line fashion within a small group and repeatedly lifting up to 40#’s (normally 25 to 30#’s). All training will be provided and no previous experience is necessary
A large part of the role will entail cleaning the machinery, room as well as the plant. Some is accomplished using air, while sweeping and scraping may be utilized in other areas.
Frequent standing, squatting, kneeling and walking is required.
Normal shifts for Specialty Packaging are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. This “bakes in” overtime to get the biggest bang for the buck and your time. It includes two 15 minute paid breaks and an unpaid 1/2 hour lunch.

WAGE BREAKDOWN
STARTING wage is $13/hr = 2080 regular hours worked x $13 = $27,040
Overtime worked is $19.5/hr = 150 annual OT hours x $19.5 = $2,925
Retention Incentive is $1 for every hour worked = 2,230 hrs x $1 = $2,230
AVERAGE STARTING ANNUAL EARNINGS = (approx) $32,000 – with plenty of room for growth!
