What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Grain Craft Bar+Kitchen H2O?
Kitchen Help Wanted at Grain H2O (Summit North Marina, Bear)
We need kitchen help at Grain H2O, our spot on the water at Summit North Marina. Line cook experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person from scratch. What we actually care about: you show up, work hard, keep up when it gets slammed, and you're someone the rest of the crew wants on a shift with them.
This kitchen moves fast. When the weather's good the marina is packed and we don't slow down. You're on your feet the whole shift.
What you'd be doing:
- Prepping ingredients before service (chopping, portioning, getting stations set)
- Working a station during service: could be the fryer, the grill, salads, sandwiches, sliders
- Plating food and getting it out fast
- Cleaning as you go and breaking down your station at the end of the night
- Helping out wherever the kitchen needs you
What we're looking for:
- You can stand and move for a full shift
- You can lift around 40 pounds (a stack of plates, a bus tub, a case of product)
- You can take direction and keep your head when the kitchen is buried
- You're reliable. If you say you'll be there at 11, you're there at 11.
- You're cool with heat, noise, and the occasional rough night
- Must be at least 16
Nice to have but not required:
- Any restaurant or kitchen experience
- ServSafe or food handler's card (we'll help you get one if you don't have it)
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
