PRN Nursing House Supervisor
Location: Graham Hospital Department: Nursing Admin Type: PRN - As Needed Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 1st Shift; 6:45am-7:15pm; Sat & Sun; at least 1 weekend a month; rotate holidays

Supervises and coordinates activities for nursing care to the neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient for all nursing divisions through planning, coordinating, evaluation and staffing. Assumes responsibility of the administrative person in charge in of the hospital during assigned shift by using developed judgment and critical skills to deal with patients, family members, staff, physicians, and visitors. This qualified leader of nursing reports to the Director of ED.
Position Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Completes hospital and departmental orientation
Ability to apply knowledge base of clinical variations associated with pediatric, adult and geriatric patients
3 years nursing experience in a hospital setting
Current Illinois Licensure
BLS certification through AHA required
ACLS or willingness to obtain in 1 year
PALS or willingness to obtain in 1 year
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Willingness to obtain emergency department experience/skills
Willingness to attend management continuing education programs
Responds and assists with all emergency codes throughout the hospital
