CONTROLLER
What We Need You To Do
We’re looking for a Controller who’s more than just numbers—someone who brings financial rigor and collaborative flexibility. Reporting to the firm’s four Partners, you’ll:
Provides fiscal leadership, vision, and guidance to the firm’s partners and staff. You will lead an accounting team of 2 people and be an integral part of the firm’s senior leadership team.
Responsible for maintaining and development of fiscal control systems that respond to the evolving needs of projects and the firm’s business operations.
Responsible for oversight of project accounting processes, billing activities, accounts receivable, collections and accounts payable.
Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting as well as budgeting and other financial forecasting needs of the firm.
Maintains effective internal controls and oversight of the firm’s treasury, tax, accounting, fixed assets, benefit programs, insurance policies and ownership transition processes.
Maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and tax filings.
Who You Are
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
You have 10 years in financial leadership roles with a preference for experience in architecture or engineering or a similar professional service environment.
You are highly organized and can think strategically.
You have a proven track record of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
You communicate effectively in writing and speech, with a talent for simplifying complex technical details.
You facilitate open dialogue with a variety of contributors and effectively align the interests of multiple stakeholders.
You have advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel.
You're flexible: willing to design, iterate, and refine how things get done in accounting and finance to best suit GBA’s evolving needs.

Base salary range is $140,000 - $165,000 with a generous benefits package. Final salary decisions are determined by local market, a candidate’s skillset, years of experience, and internal equity. You will work Mondays, Thursdays and another day of your choice in the office and up to 2 days remote, if desired.
