After-School Program Staff member is responsible for supervising and engaging with elementary school students in a safe and positive environment. Facilitates enrichment and play, supports homework, communicates with families, and ensures adherence to school policies and safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
-Supervise Students: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the program, both indoors and outdoors.
-Lead Activities: Plan and lead a variety of enriching activities, including arts and crafts, games, sports, and homework help.
-Build Relationships: Act as a positive role model and build strong, trusting relationships with students.
-Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the After-School Program Coordinator regarding student needs or any concerns that arise.
-Manage Behavior: Use positive behavior management techniques to guide students and maintain a structured and respectful -environment.
-Maintain Cleanliness: Help with the setup and cleanup of program spaces, ensuring a tidy and organized environment.
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or higher.
-Experience working with elementary school-aged children (ages 5-10).
-Enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Must be able to pass State and Federal background checks.
-Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
Hours
-This is a part-time position. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Salary : $20 - $35
