About the Position
We are looking for a warm, nurturing, and dependable Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where toddlers can learn, explore, and grow.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for toddlers in a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Establish consistent classroom routines and positive guidance strategies.
- Support children's growing independence, communication, and self-help skills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families about children's experiences and development.
- Observe and document children's learning and developmental progress.
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers and other staff members.
- Follow all health, safety, licensing, and center policies and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred.
- Early childhood education coursework or a related degree is a plus.
- Must have a valid toddler teacher certification from EEC.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Patience, creativity, dependability, and a genuine love of working with young children.
- Ability to meet all state and center licensing requirements.
