Events & Tourism Coordinator – Celebrate Grafton
Do you have a passion for planning unforgettable events and promoting vibrant communities? Celebrate Grafton is looking for an Events & Tourism Coordinator to lead the charge in organizing some of Grafton’s most beloved events and tourism initiatives.
This full-time position (including some evenings and Saturdays) is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and loves making a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Execution as well as selling of sponsorships and advertising.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Celebrate Grafton events: Food Trucks in the Park, Independence Day Celebration, Music in the Park, Military/First Responders Appreciation Night and Fall into Grafton
- Serve as the on-site representative at all events.
- Recruit, organize, and manage event volunteers and committees.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, vendors, and local organizations.
Tourism & Community Promotion
- Partner with the Tourism Promotion & Development Committee to drive Grafton’s tourism strategy.
- Create and manage tourism initiatives using Constant Contact, social media, and digital tools.
- Represent Grafton at local, county, and state tourism meetings and conferences.
- Promote all events and tourism activities across media platforms using creative, modern strategies.
Marketing & Outreach
- Design promotional content for social media, email campaigns, and printed materials.
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels.
- Work closely with the Executive Director to fulfill organizational goals and support additional initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Must possess the following - experience and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field – or equivalent experience in event planning, tourism, or community development.
- Proven success in planning and executing events of various scales.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Experience with desktop or cloud-based design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, with physical stamina for event setup/breakdown.
