Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control Specialist to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing inventory levels, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, forklift operation, and order picking processes to support efficient warehouse operations and maintain optimal stock levels.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update stock records, and ensure data accuracy.
- Perform order picking and packing using RF scanners and order picker equipment to prepare shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely following all safety protocols.
- Assist with packaging products for shipment in accordance with company standards.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment for e-commerce platforms and distribution channels.
- Support load & unload activities to facilitate smooth inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Use basic math skills for inventory calculations, order verification, and documentation accuracy.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, especially in shipping & receiving, inventory management, or distribution centers.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or similar warehouse equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400, or MRP software is a plus.
- Knowledge of e-commerce logistics processes including order fulfillment, picking & packing, and shipping procedures.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and order processing are required.
