Job Title: Front Desk

Position Overview:
The Front Desk is the first point of contact for patients at the clinic, responsible for ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. This role involves managing patient check-in/check-out, answering phone calls, handling voicemails, posting payments, and supporting the clinic's administrative needs. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and capable of handling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Check-In and Check-Out
  • Greet and assist patients as they enter and exit the clinic, providing friendly and efficient service.
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and ensure that all necessary forms and documentation are completed accurately.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with any required instructions for upcoming visits or procedures.
  • Phone and Voicemail Management
  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and routing calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Check and respond to voicemails, ensuring timely follow-up on all patient messages and requests.
  • Payment Processing and Financial Records
  • Process patient payments at check-out, including copays, balances, and any additional charges.
  • Accurately post payments to the appropriate patient accounts and provide receipts as needed.
  • Assist in reconciling daily payment logs and preparing cash deposits in accordance with clinic procedures.
  • Administrative and Office Support
  • Manage patient records and ensure all documentation is accurately filed and HIPAA compliant.
  • Maintain the reception area in a neat and organized manner to create a welcoming environment.
  • Monitor office supplies for the front desk and request replenishment as needed.
  • Additional Duties
  • Support the clinic staff and management by performing any other tasks or special projects as assigned to meet the needs of the clinic and company operations.

Qualifications:

  • Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Preferred
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with medical billing, insurance verification, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.

Additional Information:
The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. The candidate should be prepared to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
