As a member of the GRAEF Mechanical Team, your responsibilities may include:
- Support the design and development of complete plumbing systems from project conceptual phase through construction documents for a wide variety of project types.
- Assist with the scope design and specification of Fire Protection systems, including system selection, zoning, equipment sizing, and other system components.
- Develop drawings, models, specifications, and construction documents using Revit, Bluebeam, and other design tools.
- Perform calculations and assist with equipment selection to support efficient, code-compliant plumbing and fire protection system designs.
- Coordinate with multi-discipline project teams, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural team members, to support coordinated project execution.
- Assist with construction phase activities, including submittal review support, RFI assistance, meeting participation, and site visits (travel may be required.)
- Participate in technical learning opportunities and professional development activities to expand knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience in plumbing and/or fire protection system design or related building system design a plus.
- Experience in Revit, Bluebeam, and plumbing/fire protection calculation software preferred.
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred, with interest in pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the future.
