Duties
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices.
- Deliver products promptly to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries professionally.
- Assist with warehouse operations by organizing inventory, moving stock, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Utilize mobile devices to track deliveries, update routes, and communicate effectively with dispatch or team members.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission driving, and material handling equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support the overall logistics process by loading, securing, and transporting goods efficiently while adhering to route schedules.
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse operations combined with commercial driving experience; familiarity with box trucks or similar vehicles is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely in compliance with workplace weight handling standards.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe driving practices for load & unload activities.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices for moving goods within the warehouse.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer-focused attitude; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
