Job Overview
Grady EMC is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Cashier. In this role, you will be the face of Grady EMC, responsible for providing exceptional service to our members by accurately processing payments, assisting with inquiries, and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Responsibilities
- Payment processing: Accurately receive and process member payments for electric service
- Member Assistance: Assist members with account inquiries, provide billing information, and guide them through payment options and plans
- Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by promptly, professionally, and courteously addressing member needs
- Daily Reconciliation: Balance drawer at the end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accounted for, and discrepancies are reported to the supervisor
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions and provide reports as required
- Support Services: Assist with other administrative duties as needed, such as answering phones, responding to email inquiries, and processing paperwork
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the customer service team to ensure smooth operations and positive experience for all members
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office equipment
- Attributes: Friendly, reliable, honest, and able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Must be in selected Position for 1 year minimum before eligible for other potential jobs
- Bilingual a plus
