Job Description
- 1. Environmental Field and Lab Equipment and Instrumentation Purchase, maintain, repair and replace environmental and scientific equipment and instrumentation as needed. Track and record all expenditures related to equipment and instrumentation. Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and instrumentation for internal and student/faculty reference. Coordinate equipment and instrumentation loans among all faculty and students

- 2. Herbarium (on campus) The Herbarium at AUNE is housed within the Environmental Studies Department on the Antioch New England campus in Keene, NH. The Herbarium contains over 3000 plant specimens representing about 1000 species, primarily from the New England region, and about 600 mushroom specimens. Environmental Studies faculty and students have been contributing specimens to the herbarium since 1976.
- 3. Additional Lab Management Responsibilities Provide appropriate storage, handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals. Assure that the Lab and Herbarium work spaces are clean, safe, and compliant with state and federal safety regulations. Perform other duties, other activities as assigned by supervisor (the ES Administrative Director).
