Overview

The Banquet Coat Check Attendant is responsible for the timely collection, storage, and distribution of coats, jackets and outerwear for guests attending Banquet & Catering functions at the hotel.  This is a part time, seasonal position for fall, winter and early spring months.

Responsibilities

• Collect, properly store/hang, and return coats, jackets, and outerwear to guests attending functions at the hotel.
• Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
• Be attentive of guests’ needs and assist in providing a pleasant experience.
• Be knowledgeable of event location, timing and details from the Banquet Event Order.
• Communicate effectively and courteously, both over the telephone and in person.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a hospitable / guest service demeanor
• Must have availability to work nights and weekends
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required
• Light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
• Ability to stand during entire shift
