We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marketing Proposal Specialist with expertise in proposal production experience, preferably in the civil engineering industry. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling proposals that showcase our capabilities and qualifications for a variety of municipal governmental clients (Cities, Counties & TxDOT).


Responsibilities:

Client Proposals RFQ/RFP Development (Time 50%)

  • As assigned, facilitate proposal kick-off meeting and develop outline of assignments with internal and external proposal project team.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technical experts to gather information and insights required for proposal development.
  • Develop persuasive and well-structured proposals that highlight our firm's expertise, past performance, and unique qualifications.
  • Coordinate and manage the proposal development process, ensuring deadlines are met and all components are in accordance with client specifications.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of proposal content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Create visually appealing graphical and professional proposal layouts.

General Marketing & Design Projects (Time 20%)

  • Stay updated on industry trends, government procurement regulations, and changes in SF 330 requirements to enhance proposal strategy.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to pre-proposal activities and strategy sessions.
  • Project management and design development of client marketing projects such as newsletters, collateral, custom graphics, etc.
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of proposal content, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for future submissions.
  • Update project descriptions and graphics.
  • Update staff resumes.

Internal Marketing Support (Time 15%)

  • Establish programs to enhance client relations and company visibility and image.
  • Manage collateral materials development, direct-mail programs, and market research activities.

External Professional Organizations (Time 15%)

  • Maintain working relationships with A/E/C network and consultants.
  • Active participation in professional organizations related to the position within the AEC industry.



Skill Set:

  • Project and client management capabilities
  • Experience with A/E/C proposal development for multiple markets and clients
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills with demonstrated experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam (pdf editor)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of A/E/C industry
  • Understanding of marketing theory and practice, preferably within the AEC industry
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and hit deadlines
  • Be proactive and execute in a timely manner of tasks
  • Collaborative and works well in a creative, fast-paced environment
  • Maintain and schedule “Go, No-Go” meetings for RFQs
  • Graphic Design – creating graphics for Gradient’s general marketing needs such as: newsletters, brochures, advertisements, presentations, social media and custom graphics
  • Assist with the maintenance of the marketing CRM (Ajera)
  • Assist with the maintenance of the website
  • Maintain relationships and follow-ups with clients and subconsultants in the AEC industry through teaming efforts


Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a Proposal Specialist with a focus on civil engineering projects.

3. In-depth knowledge and experience with SF 330 forms for government proposals.

4. Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.

5. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.

6. Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and technical requirements in civil engineering.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant proposal software.

8. Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.

9. Strong analytical skills to understand project requirements and tailor proposals accordingly.

10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and clients.

Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
