About the student
- 12th grade student
- The student needs to work with a tutor for support with math (Algebra 2) and English. They would like one tutor for both subjects.
- The student is a 12th grader attending Governor Thomas Johnson High School. She is falling behind academically and is struggling to submit assignments and complete work in both her math and English courses.
- The goals are for the student to complete her assignments independently, improve her grades, and boost her confidence and motivation to graduate high school.
- The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 4:30pm-9pm, on Tuesday or Thursday or Friday.
- The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Frederick not far from Waverly Elementary School.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with high school students.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching/tutoring high school math and English.
- Ideal candidates will have a teaching certification.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
TUE & THUR & FRI: 4:30pm-9:00pm
Pay & Benefits
- $24.00-$30.00 per hour.
