I have an immediate need for an in-home 10th grade geometry tutor in Johnson City not far from Cherokee Elementary School; off of Strawberry Lane across the way from Price Cemetery. The student is a 10th grader attending Science Hill Elementary School. She needs a tutor to work with her for assistance with Geometry.
The student is only having a hard time with this specific class, due to the teacher's method of teaching. She currently has a D. (She mentioned this is based on only 2 grades at the moment, and includes a failed test.) She has been doing extra credit but it hasn't helped her grades much. She said the main issue is that the teacher doesn't explain things well. She said they have to ask him a lot of questions and almost pull the full explanations out of him. You have to ask the teacher multiple questions, multiple times, to get him to explain all of the steps.
The student's goal would be to have at least a B in the class.
The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 6pm-8pm, any day Monday through Friday.
Job Requirements
- Tutor must be willing to work in person, face to face at the student's home in Johnson City not far from Cherokee Elementary School; off of Strawberry Lane across the way from Price Cemetery.
- Tutor must be available for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 6pm-8pm, any day Monday through Friday.
- Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON-FRI 6pm-8pm
