About the student
- 3rd grade student
- The student needs to work with a tutor for ESL. Her first language is Mandarin so the family is asking for a tutor who is bilingual in Mandarin & English.
- The student just moved from China and is needing assistance learning to communicate in English for her daily life. She needs to start from the foundations.
- The goals are for the student to be able to have conversations in English and improve her ELA skills.
- Family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week during their available times. They are available Monday through Friday from 4pm-9pm as well as Saturday & Sunday from 10am-6pm.
- Family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Cumberland.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with elementary students with ELA skills/ESL.
- Ideal candidates will be fluent in both Mandarin & English.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON-FRI: 4:00pm-9:00pm
SAT & SUN: 10:00am-6:00pm
