About the Role:

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey plays a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. This position involves conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients' emotional and psychological well-being. The LPC will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and facilitate client progress toward their mental health goals. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the state of New Jersey.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing clinical counseling services to diverse populations.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and counseling techniques.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or trauma survivors.
  • Certification or training in specialized therapeutic approaches (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with multicultural communities.
  • Previous experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare or community mental health setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on best practices and client goals.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Stay current with developments in mental health counseling through ongoing professional development.
  • Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and state laws governing counseling practice.

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
