Gracie Barra West Ashley is hiring a Front Desk Team Member to support daily academy operations, member communication, and new student onboarding.
This position is a great fit for someone who is organized, friendly, dependable, and comfortable communicating with parents, students, and prospective members. The front desk is often the first impression families have of our academy, so we are looking for someone who can represent our school with professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming students, parents, and visitors as they arrive
- Assisting new leads and trial students with basic information
- Helping schedule intro classes and follow-ups
- Supporting membership sign-ups and basic account questions
- Helping keep the front desk and lobby organized
- Communicating clearly with instructors and staff
- Supporting academy events, promotions, and daily operations
- Providing excellent customer service to families and members
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable using basic computer systems, email, texting, and scheduling tools
- Organized and able to follow systems
- Comfortable speaking with parents and prospective students
- Sales or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Interest in martial arts, fitness, or youth development is a plus
- Bilingual is a PLUS!
Schedule:
This position will start at approximately 20 hours per week on average. Hours may grow over time depending on performance and academy needs.
Pay:
Starting at $16 per hour, with the possibility of moving into a commissioned pay structure later based on performance, responsibilities, and sales involvement.
