Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of any changes to the healthcare team.
- Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care requirements, or behavioral health conditions.
- Maintain a safe environment by practicing aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and wound management; ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently.
- Document patient interactions and care activities accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice care, and post-acute environments to deliver comprehensive patient service.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a CNA in hospital settings with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine units.
- Experience providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, acute care protocols, and post-acute or sub-acute care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles relevant to patient care delivery.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and records management.
