Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and basic life support (BLS) as trained
- Supporting nursing staff and facility operations
- Maintaining professionalism and patient care standards
- Following facility policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active Florida CNA license
- Current CPR certification
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Prior healthcare facility experience preferred
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care preferred
