- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Expedites patient care and efficiency of the staff
- In charge of patient care standards
- Assist veterinarians with complex procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and aseptic techniques for surgery
- Oversee laboratory testing procedures, including sample collection, processing, and analysis for accurate diagnostics
- Perform dental procedures and monitor anesthesia
- Ensure proper animal husbandry practices, including feeding, cleaning, and maintaining animal physiology standards
- Train and supervise team members.
- Maintain detailed records of control drug log, and patient care
- Educating and communicating efficiently with owners
- Must lead the team by example, demonstrating organizational skills, following company policies, and maintaining a professional attitude.
- Proficiency in veterinary critical care practices and familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Skilled in animal catheterization, blood draw, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures to ensure safety during treatments
- Knowledge of surgical equipment and ability to setup and assist the doctor during surgeries
- Induce, intubate and monitor patients under anesthesia.
