ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and direct nursing department through clear communication and accountability
- Monitor overall clinical status of residents
- Provide staff education through monthly meetings, rounding, and hallway coaching
- Leadership rotation duties shared with other leadership team members
- Attend care conferences and nutrition and hydration meetings frequently
- Assist in identifying performance improvement activities
- Must work closely with all team members to provide high quality care
- Be prepared to work the floor if needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Push/pull medication carts up to 300 pounds occasionally
- Twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, walk, and stand frequently
- Able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co-workers, families, and the public
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have an active RN license in the state of Wisconsin.
- BSN preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must possess leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
- Follow/adhere to organization, federal/state regulations and guidelines, including resident/client rights, standard precautions, fire safety, and first aid
