Duties
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials
- Operate material handling RF scanners, and other warehouse management systems to pick, pack, and ship orders accurately.
- Manage inventory by organizing stock in designated areas, conducting regular stock counts, and updating records within warehouse management systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations during all handling activities to maintain a safe working environment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of materials for easy access and efficient workflow.
- Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and maintaining detailed inbound/outbound logs.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related warehouse operations.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse management software to track materials accurately.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols like OSHA standards.
- Strong understanding of order picking techniques using RF scanners or manual methods to ensure accuracy.
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during inventory processes.
- Construction or warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations combined with mechanical aptitude ensures a safe work environment at all times.
