What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hot Liquid Asphalt Tanker position at Grace Pacific LLC?
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Transports emulsion and liquid asphalt from refineries to dock facilities or asphalt plants.
- Performs visual inspections of asphalt containers, chassis and tankers.
- Loads (or gets loaded) with liquid asphalt at rack facility. Unloads liquid asphalt using unloading pump and hoses at HMA facility.
- Scales truck in loading process.
- Performs daily maintenance of unloading pump and hoses.
- Cleans and generally maintains truck, tanks and chassis as needed.
- May substitute for HMA drivers as needed.
- Uses forklifts and loader to load/ unload tanks and containers.
- Checks assigned truck daily by completing required CDL check lists.
- Follows DOT, OSHA, safety and Company regulations and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma.
- Experience driving asphalt tanker trucks or similar hazmat products.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to practical situations.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret job requirements, technical procedures, government regulations; ability to write reports, present information, communicate with customers and vendors.
- Experience and knowledge operating tanker trucks (single and double), loaders, forklifts (with certification) and unloading pump and hoses.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime, nights, weekends or holidays as required.
- Knowledge of asphalt products and the loading/ unloading process.
- CDL Type A, X, N and T endorsements.
