Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Floating Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for classrooms across different age groups, including preschool, toddler care, and early intervention programs.
- Assist in curriculum development and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Support classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development.
- Implement behavior management techniques to support children's emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of instruction.
- Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Support special education needs and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable.
- Assist with standardized testing preparations and tutoring sessions as needed.
- Uphold child welfare standards, ensuring safety and compliance with licensing regulations.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or daycare settings preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is a plus.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques such as Montessori or preschool methods.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with students in private schools or daycare environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage families.
- Background in childhood development theories, standardized testing procedures, tutoring, or child welfare practices is beneficial.
