Job Description - Behavioral health technician looking to fill 2nd shift - 4:00 PM - 12:00AM.
Description: This position provides support to clients of Grace Land Recovery. Grace Land Recovery is a drug and alcohol treatment program that provides clients with care at Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient levels of care. Behavioral Health Technicians are responsible for daily observations of clients and the completion of all shift reports into the clients EMR (Electronic Medical Record). BHT's help guide the patient in appropriate behaviors, provide transportation to and from clinical services, provide transportation to evening self-help groups, complete accountability checks, and complete cleanliness reports. They encourage patients to attend all groups, medical appointments, and clinical appointments. They report directly to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician and the Director of Operations.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA regulations.
- Understanding of Grace Land Recovery mission, culture and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients as well as staff.
- Previous experience working with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders preferred.
- Employment contingent upon clear UDS screen and criminal history record
- Good inter-personal skills
Functions:
- Monitor and document client medication observations.
- Transport clients to and from clinical services, as needed.
- Complete observation checks on clients. Must ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Responsible for completing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) shift reports in a clear and timely manner.
- Complete daily room checks and ensure living spaces are clean, per the program's guidelines.
- Completing room searches when requested by the Director of Operations, Lead BHT, medical or clinical staff, or any other safety reasons that should warrant suspicion.
- Complete searches upon new admissions.
- Review patient handbook and orient patient to the program upon admission.
- Enforce program guidelines and client responsibilities.
- Lead community meetings for clients.
- Responsible for processing intakes and new admission paperwork, when applicable.
- Responsible for taking inventory of supplies.
- Provide educational and support to clients.
- Assist with the transport of clients as needed, such as, to outside appointments, and off-site activities.

SHIFTS VARY - Must be flexible to work shifts as needed for coverage purposes.
