What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Supervisor position at Grace House?
Job Overview
Grace House is a licensed Therapeutic Group Home located in Jeanerette, Louisiana. We serve adolescent boys who require stability, guidance, and real support. Our mission is to restore dignity and direction through individualized care, skilled clinical services, and a safe, nurturing home environment. This position requires empathy, consistency, and resilience. If you're someone who leads with compassion, remains calm under pressure, and believes in showing up for young people who’ve been through some challenges, you’ll be right at home here. We’re building a team of professionals who are committed to doing meaningful work with purpose and integrity. If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you on board. The supervisor is the day-to-day operational backbone of the therapeutic group home. This role ensures the home runs safely, consistently, and in compliance with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Therapeutic Group Home regulations. This position will supervise direct care staff, maintain structure in the home, support therapeutic programming, and serve as the first line of accountability when things go left — before they become reportable incidents. This is not a desk job and not a passive supervisor role. The supervisor is expected to be visible, firm, organized, and proactive.
