Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data science, machine learning, and analytics, with a proven track record of leveraging advanced techniques to solve complex business problems. This role requires expertise in various programming languages and frameworks, as well as experience with big data technologies. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for guiding a team of data scientists and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Seven (7) years of experience in data science is required
- Professional experience in hospital setting, medical informatics, healthcare information technology/finance/revenue cycle data management, or Electronic Health Record (EHR) data management is preferred
- Possesses advanced level knowledge of the data science project life cycle
- Proficient programming skills in addition to a working knowledge and experience of statistical analysis tools
- Demonstrates proficiency in problem solving, analytical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Conduct data mining and exploratory analysis to uncover insights that drive strategic initiatives.
- Oversee model training, validation, and deployment using frameworks such as TensorFlow, Spark, and SAS.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Implement big data technologies including Hadoop for processing large datasets efficiently.
- Design databases that support analytical processes and ensure data integrity.
- Mentor junior data scientists in best practices for analytics, model development, and deployment.
- Stay updated on industry trends in AI, natural language processing, quantum engineering, and other relevant fields.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
- Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, Java, C, SQL, VBA, Bash (Unix shell).
- Project Lead Experience
- Familiarity with tools such as Talend for ETL processes and Looker for data visualization.
- Building Data Sets
- AWS Certification is a MUST
- Must have Cogito experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
