Grace Fellowship is a multi-campus church. Generation Communities function with campus specificity and shared theological and strategic alignment across campuses.
Summary / Objective
The Director of Generation Communities builds, shepherds and multiplies generation-based communities that form mature disciples of Jesus who actively make disciples. Primary existing communities:
- Young Adults (18–30) – 70% focus
- 30s–40s Community – 15% focus
- 50 Community – 15% focus
Primary leadership responsibility is for the Cinco Ranch Campus. The Director also provides aligned oversight and strategic support for these same communities at the North Katy Campus in collaboration with campus leadership.
This role is part of the Spiritual Formation Team and reports to the Spiritual Formation Pastor.
Position Type
Full-time, salaried (exempt). Includes Sundays, some evenings and cross-campus engagement.

- Measurable engagement in small groups, mentoring and prayer rhythms.
- Sustainable cross-generational gatherings reinforcing unity, biblical depth and mission.
The Director leads directly at Cinco Ranch and leads through alignment at North Katy.
Cinco Ranch (Direct Leadership)
- Lead and execute Generation Communities strategy.
- Build and multiply leaders through RED (see below).
- Establish measurable disciple-making benchmarks.
- Integrate communities into campus prayer life and church mission.
North Katy (Aligned Oversight)
- Provide coaching, tools, and strategic alignment.
- Ensure shared disciple-making priorities.
- Support leadership development and teaching coordination as needed.
The Director builds leaders, not dependency.
Recruit - Identify emerging leaders in every generation.
Equip - Train leaders in Scripture, prayer, shepherding, and disciple-making.
Deploy - Place leaders into meaningful responsibility and evaluate fruit.
Multiplication is the metric.
Cinco Ranch
- Oversee weekly gatherings and small groups.
- Ensure newcomers connect within four weeks.
- Develop leaders and disciple-makers.
North Katy
- Provide coaching and alignment support.
- Develop the annual teaching calendar in coordination with the Spiritual Formation Pastor to ensure doctrinal and strategic alignment across campuses.
- Personally carry 20-25% of the annual Young Adult teaching load at Cinco Ranch.
- Build and oversee teaching team responsible for remaining teaching calendar by:
- Drawing from existing pastors and directors.
- Recruiting and equipping qualified communicators from within the congregation (inside and outside the Young Adult subgroup).
- Inviting trusted outside speakers when aligned with church leadership.
- Apply RED within teaching team to recruit, equip and deploy emerging communicators.
- Ensure teaching remains Scripture-centered, prayerful and aligned with Grace Fellowship’s doctrine and disciple-making mission.
The Director ensures alignment and multiplication, not doctrinal definition.
Cinco Ranch
- Strengthen and multiply group leaders.
- Foster prayer and disciple-making rhythms.
North Katy
- Support leadership development and structural alignment.
Cinco Ranch
- Equip mature believers as mentors and prayer leaders.
- Mobilize this generation toward spiritual legacy.
North Katy
- Provide coaching and structural support.
- Launch quarterly gatherings at Cinco Ranch.
- Move toward bi-monthly gatherings if sustainable.
- Reinforce shared identity, generational honor, prayer culture, and mission.
- Provide guidance for similar efforts at North Katy.
- Shepherd key leaders at Cinco Ranch.
- Coach leaders to shepherd at North Katy.
- Maintain clear referral boundaries for counseling and crisis care.
The Director shepherds leaders who shepherd people.
Measurable Indicators
• Leaders recruited, equipped and deployed annually.

Work Environment
Active leadership presence at both the Cinco Ranch and North Katy campuses. Evening and weekend ministry engagement required.
