Job Overview – Emergency Department RN (Level I Trauma) | Nights

Location

• City: Chesapeake, Virginia (Coastal Virginia – minutes from Virginia Beach & Norfolk)

• Radius Rule: 25-mile radius; locals may be considered only if position remains unfilled or aged

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights – 3x12-hour shifts

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

• Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period

• Float: Yes, within scope to meet facility need

• Call: No on-call required

• Specialty: Level I Emergency Department

• Charting System: Cerner

• Environment: Fast-paced trauma center serving diverse emergency cases

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience

• Certifications:

  • BLS – American Heart Association

  • ACLS – American Heart Association

  • PALS – American Heart Association

  • CEN preferred, not required

• Licensure:

  • Active Compact or VA RN license – no pending licenses accepted

• RTO:

  • Must be submitted at time of interview for consideration
