What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donor Development Administrative Assistant position at Grace Family Church?
Primary Purpose of Position: This role will support the Development Department with a wide range of tasks related to fundraising, communications, donor relations, special event coordination, and grant research.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Send acknowledgment letters, thank-you notes, and other communications to donors for both Grace Family Church and the Dream Center
- Assist with the planning, logistics, and execution of fundraising events
- Assist with donor stewardship projects
- Maintain and update donor database and mailing lists to ensure accurate records
- Provide general administrative help to the development team, such as scheduling, preparing materials, and managing correspondence
- Research potential grant opportunities and help track deadlines and reports
- Prepare and maintain reports on fundraising activities and collaborate with the finance department
- Assist in the Count Room, when needed
- Assist in collecting, sorting, and distributing church mail
- Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Must be able to maintain the appropriate level of confidentiality on behalf of Grace Family Church and the members
- Prior experience in non-profit work, fundraising, or an administrative role is beneficial
- Excellent ability to organize, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for creating donor communications and interacting with individuals
- Experience with database software (Rock) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively as a team player and provide excellent customer service
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Regular attendance at one of Grace Family Church’s multiple locations
- Continuation of education and spiritual growth tracks required, to include Freedom
- Highly self-motivated and a self-starter, able to lead and empower people
- Proficient in meeting task deadlines/timelines, project coordination, and event planning experience
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with all levels of internal management, staff, clients, and members
- Must work well under pressure and have the ability to prioritize tasks
- Perform all duties, conduct, and live by the Grace Honor Code and Statement of Faith
- Collaborate with staff across Grace’s organization as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Experience or willing to learn Grace Family's software/computer programs to include: Mac computers, macOS applications, Rock, Microsoft Office, Slack, eSpace, etc., where needed

Environmental Factors:

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
