Grace Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and organized College Counselor to guide students in their college and career planning within a Christ-centered environment. This role supports students and families through academic planning, college admissions, dual enrollment, and career exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a comprehensive college and career readiness program for high school students.
- Manage dual enrollment processes including applications, registration, and grants.
- Write counselor recommendation letters and assist students with essays and applications.
- Research and communicate scholarship opportunities and deadlines.
- Manage Scoir platform for student data, applications, and college planning.
- Meet regularly with students and families to provide guidance and support.
- Organize college visits, fairs, and career exploration events.
- Support student-athletes with eligibility, transcripts, and recruitment needs.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and external partners.
- Maintain a strong, visible presence on campus and build meaningful student relationships.
- Utilize Google platforms (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Classroom, and Drive) to organize data, communicate, and streamline processes
- Coordinate and administer AP and ACT exams, ensuring compliance with testing protocols and effective communication with students and families
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; counseling or education background preferred.
- Experience in school counseling or college advising preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed Christian faith and alignment with the mission of the school.
