Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Children’s Therapist who is passionate about integrating faith and mental health support. This opportunity would provide counseling servicesto children and adolescents, help them navigate emotional, behavioral, and development challenges while incorporating Christian values and principles into therapy sessions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assess, diagnose, and create personalized treatment plans for children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and other mental health concerns
• Provide therapy sessions using approaches such as play therapy, family therapy, or traumainformed care
• Work with parents and caregivers to develop effective support strategies for each child
• Collaborate with case managers, schools, social workers and other professionals as needed
• Maintain detailed case notes
• Ensure confidentiality laws and ethical guidelines
• Continue to stay informed on best practices in child therapy
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• State licensure required
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic/counseling setting
• Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions
• Strong communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a faith-based and team-oriented environment
