SUMMARY
Grace Baptist Church is seeking a highly organized and creative Student Coordinator to support our Student Ministry. This position exists to handle the administrative, communication, and creative tasks that help our middle and high school ministry thrive. The ideal candidate will combine attention to detail with a heart for students and a passion for creating an excellent ministry environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content & Communication
- Plan, create, and post content for student ministry social media (2–3 posts per week, plus more for large events).
- Capture and edit photos, reels, and videos from Wednesday nights, Sundays, and events.
- Design graphics for events, emails, slides, and promotional materials.
- Create ProPresenter slides for Wednesday nights and Sundays.
- Manage parent communication, including weekly emails.
- Help market college and young adult events.
Administrative Support
- Schedule meetings and reserve rooms for Student Ministry staff.
- Maintain Grace Students groups in Shelby (add new members, create groups for events, track attendance).
- Track receipts, purchase orders, and maintain spreadsheets for ministry leaders.
- Assist with event registration, communication, and volunteer coordination.
Programming & Event Support
- Help set up and tear down environments for Wednesday nights, Sundays, and special events (lobby, café, group spaces, tech).
- Lead a small group on Wednesday nights.
- Assist with planning and executing Grace Students events, including merch creation, print materials, and on-site support.
- Attend all Grace Students and all-church events as needed.
- Format Wednesday night small group questions and Sunday morning curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission of Grace Baptist Church.
· Committed to Biblical tithing (a minimum of 10% of gross income).
· A demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive and confidential church information.
· Ability to perform services independently, without direct supervision, as well as work cohesively within a team environment.
· A positive attitude at all times and poise under pressure.
· High attention to detail and accuracy with complete follow-through.
· Creative eye for photography, videography, and graphic design.
· Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
· Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite/Canva or other design tools.
· Able to work nights and weekends as required by student ministry events.
· Preferred- previous experience in student ministry, communications, or church administration.
