Worship Team Leader

Purpose: To lead Grace 242 in “singing praises to the King” (Psalm 47:6) in worship.

Requirements:

·     Lead a life that demonstrates a joyful and determined apprenticeship to King Jesus.

·     Cultivates a passion to “serve the Lord with gladness” and guide the congregation into “coming before Him with joyful song.” (Psalm 100:2)

·     Proficiency in singing, playing the guitar, and selecting music.

·     Team player who identifies, enlists, and works with volunteers.

·     Basic understanding of, and proficiency in, church A/V and sound equipment.

Duties

·     Lead the music portions of Grace 242 worship services and ministries.

·     Schedule, hold, and lead a midweek practice with the worship team.

·     Connect with the pastor weekly to select songs for worship that are biblically sound and thematically tied to the scripture reading and message.

·     Along with the elders and the pastor, assemble the worship team by recognizing potential volunteers and making personal asks.

·     Craft the worship team volunteer schedule, communicate the schedule with volunteers, and update the schedule with the church administrator.

Structure and Compensation

·     Reports to the pastor

·     10 to 15 hours per week

·     $12,000 per year

·     Sundays off to be negotiated with the elder board
