Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Water Well Driller's Helper and Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist experienced drillers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water wells, while gaining valuable hands-on experience with heavy equipment and construction processes. Your proactive attitude and mechanical aptitude will contribute to efficient project completion and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of drilling equipment, drilling tools and water trucks
- Support the drilling team in installing, repairing, and maintaining water wells according to project specifications
- Operate heavy machinery such trucks under supervision
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of construction and drilling activities
- Help coordinate logistics on construction sites, including material handling and site cleanup
- Support service tech tasks like troubleshooting equipment issues and assisting with repairs or upgrades
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to assist in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety standards
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or willingness to obtain one for driving heavy machinery or transport vehicles
- Knowledge of vertical drilling techniques and water well installation processes is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
