ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Full-Time | Temporary (Tax Season)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Grable CPA & Company is seeking a reliable, organized Full-Time Administrative Assistant to support our accounting team during the busy tax season. This temporary role is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, staying organized, and supporting a fast-paced office environment.
The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in daily office operations, client communication, and administrative support to ensure a smooth and professional experience for both clients and staff.
KEY DETAILS
- Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40-50 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday mornings 8am-12pm
- Duration: Temporary, anticipated January 15th–April 30th (tax season)
- Work Location: Onsite at our office in Santa Claus, Indiana
- Compensation: Hourly rate of $15

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and assist clients professionally, managing front-desk operations and maintaining a welcoming office environment
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls and inquiries accurately
- Receive, sort, scan, and file documents to support paperless recordkeeping
- Assist with client intake, document tracking, and administrative follow-up as needed
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team, including special projects
- Track and restock office supplies to ensure day-to-day needs are met
- Maintain organization of digital and physical files for easy access and retrieval
- Collaborate with staff to support workflow and deadlines
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior administrative or office support experience preferred
- Customer service experience strongly preferred
- Experience in an accounting or professional services environment is a plus
PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit, type, and use office equipment for extended periods
- Ability to lift or move items up to 20 pounds as needed
- Regular interaction with clients and team members in person and by phone/email
