Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Associate to support our welding department by preparing kits for welding jobs. This role is critical to ensuring that welders have the correct parts, materials, and documentation needed to efficiently complete their work.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, organize, and assemble components for welding jobs according to production orders and blueprints.
- Maintain an organized kitting area and ensure timely delivery of kits to the welding department.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality of materials to ensure accuracy and readiness.
- Coordinate with the production and inventory teams to resolve any discrepancies or shortages.
- Operate pallet jacks, carts, and basic material-handling equipment.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and reporting material usage.
- Follow safety procedures and standard operating instructions at all times.
- Contribute to a clean and efficient work environment through regular housekeeping and team collaboration.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or kitting role is a plus.
- Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and part lists.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use barcode scanners or inventory software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
