- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and manage internal/external audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, documentation, and compliance procedures.
- Support budgeting, cash flow planning, and long-term financial modeling in partnership with FP&A.
- Manage accounting team members, external CPAs, and system integrations (e.g., ERP, tax tools, payment processors).
- 5–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial controls.
- Experience in high-volume eCommerce or inventory-heavy environments.
- Proficiency in accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, Acumatica) and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and discretion with financial data.
- Bonus: Familiarity with the firearms or sporting goods industry.
