What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Surveyor position at GPS Technician?
Reybold is located in New Castle County Delaware and are currently seeking a Construction Surveyor for our growing Construction Department. A Surveyor is responsible for measuring property lines and surveying properties to provide data relevant to the shape and contour of the Earth's surface for engineering, mapmaking, and construction projects.
The primary responsibility of the Surveyor is the layout of clearing, roadway, and underground utilities in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Construction layout of site work and utilities utilizing GPS and robotic total station
- As-built collection
- Minor to moderate survey calculation
- Keeping detailed notes and logs
- Use specialized equipment to measure land boundaries and create maps or charts for employers to review.
- Update boundary lines and prepare sites for construction.
- Make precise measurements to determine property boundaries
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- 3-5 years survey experience
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Understanding of mapping concepts is required.
- Land Surveyor License a plus
