Job Summary
GPRM Prestress, LLC is looking for a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for both operating CAD software and applying drafting expertise to develop detailed technical drawings. This position supports engineering, Project Manager, Quality Control, and Production teams.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for precast production and plant operations using AutoCAD, and other software such as Revit.
- Translate architectural and structural plans into detailed, production-ready shop drawings.
- Revise and update drawings in response to design changes, field modifications, or quality control feedback.
- Ensure all technical documents meet industry standards, project requirements, and GPRM Prestress quality protocols.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to clarify design details and resolve discrepancies.
- Organize, manage, and archive digital drawing files and project documentation.
- Assist with plant measurements and drawing field conditions when necessary to ensure alignment with design intent.
- High responsibility for drawing accuracy that directly affects production and filed installation.
- Works under general supervision with opportunities for independent decision-making.
- Deadline-driven role that may involve periods of high workload and requires excellent organization skills.
- Emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced construction manufacturing environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or technical certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of combined CAD drafting experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work under deadlines in both collaborative and independent settings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
- Experience with Revit is preferred.
- Familiarity with large-format printers, plotters, scanners, and digital file management systems.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF tools.
