GPI is seeking a dynamic Director of Transportation Engineering to lead and grow our transportation practice in Dublin, OH. This leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee complex transportation projects, mentor engineering staff, develop client relationships, and drive strategic business growth across New York State.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for transportation planning, roadway, highway, bridge, and multi-modal infrastructure projects.
- Manage project delivery, budgets, schedules, quality control, and client satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop transportation engineering staff and project managers.
- Expand relationships with ODOT, counties, municipalities, and regional agencies.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, presentations, and pursuit strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative transportation solutions.
- Assist in strategic planning, staffing, and operational management of the transportation practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 15 years of progressive transportation engineering experience.
- 7 years of leadership, supervisory, or department management experience.
- Strong knowledge of ODOT standards, transportation design practices, and project delivery processes.
- Proven success in managing large-scale transportation infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Established relationships with transportation agencies and public-sector clients preferred.
- Experience with project financial management, business development, and staff mentorship.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
