Job Title: Security Guard Cost Center: Security Job Description: The Security Guard assumes responsibility and accountability for actions, which include, but are not limited to: Security Guard provides general security duties for the protection of the hospital, its property, staff and visitors. Responds to and reports unusual conditions. Minimum Qualifications o Education o High school degree or equivalent required. o Credentials o BLS required. Completion of CPI training required. Physical Demands 1. Stand and/or walk constant. 2. Lift 50 pounds floor to waist occasionally. 3. Climb ladder and/or 26 steps occasionally. 4. Bend frequently. 5. Eye-hand coordination within normal limits. Essential Functions 1. Responds to Codes, Gray, Blue, and Pink. Red, Silver, Orange and Yellow and other security incidents when requested. 2. Tests levels of security on a regular basis to ensure adequate security is being maintained. 3. Notes observed operational or maintenance discrepancies and communicates information to maintenance staff for correction. This includes parking lot lights, exterior building lights, and other safety related hazards. 4. Assists staff with patient escorts, lift assists and deliveries. 5. Demonstrates safety and competent use of equipment. Demonstrates proper use of software applications to carry out duties. 6. Ability to observe and correct unsafe conditions before a problem arises. Knowledge of hospital safety and security policies and procedures preferred. 7. Ability to work with intoxicated, hostile or uncooperative persons required Join us. Join great.
