Job Title: Intern Cost Center: Nursing Administration Job Description: Job Summary Mission To inspire health and healing by putting patients first - ALWAYS. Position Summary This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical record; provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department. Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent. • Currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program with expected graduation the following calendar year. Credentials Completed Nurse Aide licensure in the state of Nebraska but does not have to be active. Required certifications: BLS preferred Physical Demands Sit frequently. Stand and/or walk frequently. Drive frequently in most weather conditions, except when safety is a factor. Lift 50 pounds frequently Carry 25 pounds frequently Bend, kneel, and crawl frequently. Reach floor to overhead frequently. Climb stairs in a variety of situations frequently. Visual acuity, color vision manual dexterity and eye hand coordination within normal limits. Essential Functions Eight week program that offers the opportunity to successfully transfer from educational to clinical setting. Demonstrates understanding and competency in technical skills and procedures. Apply sound judgement through the nursing process in the management of patient care. Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and families helps foster collaborative relationships with coworkers, physicians and ancillary department members. Develops a framework for integrated care of the patient throughput the health care continuum. Successful orientation to units and shift requirements. Join us. Join great.
