Commercial HVAC / Boiler Service Technician
About Us:
GPH Inc. services north and central New Jersey commercial businesses and customers within the apartment complex industries, hotel chains, senior housing, high rise rental properties and more. We do not service the residential market.
Our technicians service and repair high-efficiency and lower efficiency boilers and water heaters for domestic hot water and hydronic heating systems. We also service AC systems of all variations .
Key Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Commercial HVAC systems including: boilers, pumps, heat pumps, rooftop units, cooling towers and condensers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, safety control circuits, electronic boards.
- Calibrate and adjust burner controls to obtain optimal boiler/burner performance.
- Boiler cleanings.
- Perform preventative maintenance on boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Communicate effectively with job site personnel, custodian, super, project managers, property managers.
- Complete projects and service calls in a timely manner.
- Complete paperwork/documentation on the work performed, (time, materials used, and recommendations.)
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on commercial experience with high-efficiency heating, domestic hot water, steam systems, controls, and AC equipment.
- This is a full time position Mon-Fri from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and must be available for On-Call, 24-hour emergency service rotation (7 day period). Additional overtime compensation is provided when on-call
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Technicians will be provided a company truck with most necessary supplies but restocking is the technician’s responsibility through our purchasing and stocking warehouse personnel
- techs are required to have their own hand tools and metering devices.
- Applicants with experience working on Lochinvar, LAARS, Weil Mclain boilers preferred.
