GPD Group is looking to add a Bridge Engineer to join our team as a dynamic member of the Transportation group in our Louisville, KY office.

GPD Group is looking to add a Bridge Engineer to join our team as a dynamic member of the Transportation group in our Louisville, KY office.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5 years of design experience.
- Kentucky Bridge design experience required.
- KY PE required, ability to obtain OH PE within 6 months a plus.
- Proficiency in Microstation and AutoCAD.
- Experience in supporting engineers in plan preparation for project work.
- Experience in reading and fully understanding bridge construction drawings in the fast-paced multi-site industry.
- Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines through all phases of design.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal assistance.
- Have a working knowledge of codes, standards, and building construction methods.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Preparing bridge construction drawings using Microstation and AutoCAD, calculate bridge rebars and bridge quantity.
- Performing bridge inspections with professional engineers up to 15% of the time.
- Preparation of construction documents based upon field surveys, available resources and client requirements.
